Hannes Snellman Stockholm announces new Head of IP and TMT

Hannes Snellman’s Stockholm office welcomes Elisabeth Vestin as their new Specialist Partner and Head of Intellectual Property & Technology, Media and Telecom. Her new position’s responsibilities involve strengthening the firm’s offering within IP & TMTS, corporate responsibility and compliance in close cooperation with Hannes Snellman’s IP operation in Finland and Russia.

With more than 10 years of experience within the IP & TMT, compliance and corporate responsibility sectors, Elisabeth Vestin headed Advokatfirman Lindahl’s entertainment and sports practice prior to joining Hannes Snellman, During her time in the company, she established the firm’s operations within corporate responsibility and compliance, Her previous experience also includes practicing within the anti-corruption and sustainability field, as well working for the international law firm Reed Smith LLP in London.

As a board member of Svensk Franchise, Elisabeth has a wealth of experience in franchise systems and chain businesses. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Lund University, a Master’s degree in IT Law, IP rights and Competition Law from the University of Edinburgh and has completed notary training at the Lund District Court.

In a statement, the Managing Partner at Hannes Snellman in Stockholm Paula Röttorp has explained that the hire would allow the firm to offer innovative advisory services within the IP and TMT sector: “Elisabeth has an excellent ability to appreciate which future issues will have an impact on our clients’ businesses within the IP & TMT field. This makes her the natural candidate to lead our advisory services in the field. Elisabeth Vestin also has cutting-edge competence within the field of corporate responsibility and compliance. This is an area of great importance for our clients, and I am confident that it will be further strengthened now that Elisabeth Vestin has joined us”.
