One of UK’s leading IP firms has appointed Vicki Strachan as the firm’s newest Partner.  Vicki is an experienced specialist in analogue and digital electronic devices covering medical devices, digital and data communications, telecommunications and software based inventions.

Based in Wynne-Jones’s Cheltenham office, Vicki’s wealth of experience and wide variety of clients acted for have been beneficial to the firm since 2013. Her knowledge covers various aspects of the latest case law in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa, with a particular interest in patentability, including computer related inventions, business methods and methods of treatment.  Vicki has expressed her excitement by saying: “I am delighted to be named Partner in such a dynamic firm, and look forward to continuing my career with Wynne-Jones”.

Prior to joining Wynne-Jones, Vicki has worked as a patent examiner at the UK Patent Office and was a partner at a large UK IP firm.  She has then taken a career break while completing a PGCE qualification and has worked as a curriculum leader in the engineering department at Gloucestershire College, lecturing in engineering at HNC, HND and foundation degree levels.

Partner and senior patent attorney Dr Ian Lambert said: “I am confident that Vicki’s knowledge and experience will further strengthen our excellent team and help us continue to provide a high quality service for all our clients, protecting their intellectual property”.
