Paksoy advised Stellantis Group on the sale of its automobile distributor subsidiary, Stellantis Otomotiv Pazarlama, to Tofaş Türk Otomobil Fabrikası.

Founded in 2021 and based in Amsterdam, Stellantis was created through the equal merger of Italian-American firm Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and France’s PSA Group. Stellantis Otomotiv Pazarlama is an automobile distributor for many of the world’s most recognised brands, including Citroen, Opel, Peugeot, Jeep, Fiat, Maserati and DS Automobiles.

Through this transaction, which remains subject to regulatory approval, Stellantis will consolidate all of its activities and brand distributions in Turkey under a single entity: Tofaş, which has a production capacity of 400,000 vehicles per year. 24.3% of Tofaş’s shares are currently trading on the Borsa Istanbul stock exchange, with the remainder held in equal parts by Stellantis and Koc Holding.

Paksoy advised Stellantis with a team comprising partners Togan Turan, Okkes Sahan, Nazli Bezirci and Sansal Erbacioglu, as well as associates Melisa Sevinc, Melis Azman, Idil Gunes, Nazim Canay Palak, Gamze Boran and Ece Bezmez.
